This intensive one-day training, led by a certified instructor, is designed to provide practical preparation for the flight review required by Transport Canada. It focuses on real-world operational planning, risk management and the demonstration of competencies expected during the evaluation.
The KoptR Image flight review preparation course is a professional training program intended for pilots who have completed their advanced operations theoretical training and wish to approach the flight review with an adequate level of preparation aligned with Transport Canada expectations.
Delivered as a full 7-hour day, this training is offered via videoconference in a private format with a dedicated instructor per candidate. It is scheduled according to your availability and takes into account your experience and operational context. The instructor-led session is complemented by several hours of independent preparation to optimize the work completed with the instructor and maximize the benefits of the training.
The course content is specifically oriented toward the practical expectations of Transport Canada during a flight review:
- structuring a complete drone operation
- site assessment
- hazard identification and appropriate mitigation measures
- preparation and validation of mandatory documentation
- selection of the aircraft and equipment
- application of standard operating procedures and emergency procedures
- decision-making in normal or degraded conditions
The instructional approach is based on realistic scenarios inspired by situations encountered during professional operations and actual flight reviews. This approach enables the candidate to demonstrate a clear understanding of responsibilities, a structured methodology and the ability to operate safely and in compliance with regulations.
