The practical course - emergency procedures and advanced operations management offered by KoptR Image represents the second day of the practical training pathway and is intended for pilots who wish to further develop their ability to manage complex and unforeseen situations in real operational contexts.
This training emphasizes independent operational preparation by participants, including site analysis, equipment inventory and detailed planning before progressing to advanced flight scenarios in the field. Pilots gradually operate in conditions simulating increased operational constraints while maintaining a high level of safety.
A significant portion of the course is dedicated to emergency procedures, including loss of signal, use of return-to-home functions, recovery of control, emergency landings and management of aircraft disorientation. Participants are also introduced to flight without GPS assistance, use of onboard instruments and scenarios requiring rapid and structured decision-making.
This course enables pilots to develop an in-depth understanding of drone behavior in degraded conditions, improve operational composure and strengthen their ability to respond effectively in the event of an incident. It represents a key step for pilots pursuing advanced or complex operations or serious preparation for the flight review required by Transport Canada.
