Targeted instructor-led training designed to effectively prepare pilots for the Transport Canada flight review required to obtain the advanced operations drone pilot certificate, in accordance with regulations in effect since November 2025.
The KoptR Image flight review preparation course is a professional training program intended for pilots who have completed their advanced operations theoretical training and wish to adequately prepare for the Transport Canada flight review requirement.
This course aims to consolidate knowledge, structure operational preparation, and ensure that the candidate meets Transport Canada’s expectations regarding planning, documentation, risk management, and the safe conduct of drone operations.
The training is offered as a private one-day session via videoconference, with a dedicated instructor per candidate. It includes approximately 7 hours of direct instruction, scheduled according to your availability, along with several hours of prior preparation to maximize the effectiveness of the session.
The content covered addresses all elements that a pilot must master and be able to demonstrate during a flight review:
- The complete preparation of a drone operation
- Mandatory documents and operational documentation
- Selection of the aircraft and equipment according to the operational context
- Hazard identification and risk assessment
- Normal and emergency procedures
- Decision-making and human factors management
- Regulatory compliance applicable to Advanced Operations
The instructional approach emphasizes practical scenarios similar to those encountered during an actual flight review, allowing candidates to build confidence and demonstrate a clear and structured understanding of their responsibilities as a pilot.
